Chapter 7: Virtual neurodidactic strategies to enhance linguistic development and reading comprehension in primary education in the Dominican Republic
Synopsis
At present, profound transformations are taking place in the social, political, economic, scientific, and, most notably, educational spheres. These dynamics demand that teachers receive technological training aimed at ensuring the relevance, quality, and significance of the teaching–learning process. Within this context arises the motivation for the present article, whose purpose is to propose virtual strategies grounded in neurodidactics to strengthen linguistic development and reading comprehension among primary education students in the Dominican Republic. The research began with a diagnostic assessment of the level of knowledge regarding the following variables: linguistic development, reading comprehension, and virtual neurodidactic strategies. Based on the findings, a series of virtual strategies founded on neurodidactics are proposed to optimize the educational process and foster the construction of a more dynamic, participatory, and motivating learning environment.
